The Tonareli Designer Cello Gig Bag has a full 20mm of padding around the entire case for extra protection for your cello. There is a large music pocket on the back, a large accessory pocket on the front and a very well padded pocket for two bows. The built in back pack straps are fully adjustable and the case has an extra amount of padding for your back. The case has high impact rubber feet to protect the case when placed on the floor on its side. This case weighs only 4.6 lbs. The zippers on this case are extremely heavy duty and are very smooth to open and close the case. The end pin protrudes from the bottom of the case so a rubber tip is not necessary to protect the case like some other cello bags on the market.

I've had this cello case for about a month now and I can say I'm extremely satisfied with it. It's solidly built, and very sturdy. The zippered pouch at the top stores two bows easily and the case has enough structural support to remain unbent when you lean it against the wall, so you can leave your bow inside without worrying too much about the case folding over and snapping it.The straps on the back are very comfortable and very well built. The padding works well and the cello rests comfortable on my back, whether I'm wearing both straps or just one. It's not the most comfortable case to carry by the handle, because the straps tend to catch on you as you walk, and if you have them loose so that you can wear it on your back they may drag along the ground (if you're shorter), but it's not too big a deal. The only real gripe I could say I have is that the pouch in the front, the one over the cello bridge, isn't big enough/doesn't close properly. Because this cello bag only has one pouch for accessories (not including the sheet music slot on the back), I'm forced to put everything into that one pouch (extra strings, rosin, footrest, mute, tuner, etc.) and when full the velcro closure doesn't really stay closed. I would have really preferred maybe a zipper closer instead or a larger pouch to facilitate closure when full.Otherwise overall this cello bag is an excellent case and I'm very pleased with it.Note: It doesn't have an opening at the bottom for the spike; instead it zips up to that point. I personally prefer the cases that have a whole for the spike and zip all the way around, but you get used to it and it's not a big deal.
