I completely agree with the first review. This stool is extremely solid and sturdy. I feel sure it will last a long time. Looks great and is actually pretty heavy for a stool (which is a good thing). And very comfortable to sit in. I bought one as a 'test', and now that I've seen it I'm buying two more. By the way, the seat color is not black... it's more like a dark slate grey, and very good quality. Even the packaging was impressive. You need to have basic skills with a screwdriver and adjustable wrench to assemble this stool and doing so is pretty straightforward. Highly recommend!
