I needed a set of ear muffs for occasional use when machine polishing my cars. I have one polisher in particular that is nosier than the others and the sound gets annoying quickly.I wanted something light in weight, so I ordered these. If I was going to be wearing them for extended time periods, I likely would have chosen the version with the padded headband.While my head is slightly on the large side, these fit well and remained comfortable. The ear cups fit my ears fine and the sound level was greatly reduced.If I needed something for daily use, I probably would have selected a more expensive model with better specs. For occasional use by the typical homeowner these are a fine choice at an extremely reasonable price
